They arrived at Montecastello almost by chance, without knowing it, when they bought a small farmhouse surrounded by olive trees with a modest vineyard of just over 1,500 square meters with which they “played,” under the amused gaze of their old peasant Augusto, learning from him how to make wine as it was once done, with the old press, cement tanks, and demijohns. We immediately fell in love with this land and its fruits. A magical territory where Wine and Extra Virgin Olive Oil have always been considered an integral part of peasant culture and tradition, a precious gift that nature gives back to this wonderful land that its peasants still care for with the pride and respect it deserves. The path to producing quality wine was long but natural; we started out of curiosity and, studying the land, we got excited about its very mineral composition and ideal exposure, we deepened and believed in the project. Their goal is to enhance what the land offers.
