Our estate preserves an intact landscape of 47 hectares, including 37 hectares of vineyards, 11 hectares of olive groves, with the ancient olive varieties of the area, the perfectly symmetrical romantic garden open with a view of Rome, the fruit and vegetable garden. Recognized as a national monument, our estate has remained unchanged over time: the entire property has a landscape constraint and is a rare example of country architecture that has preserved the charm of an important villa of the time, surrounded by its lands, respecting the tradition of the great agricultural estates of the past. Furthermore, our guest house even includes a medieval tower. A splendid alley of cypresses almost a kilometer long separates the villa from the complex of the cellar built in 1892, together with the farmhouse, the large tank that collects the water from a perennial spring. Equipped with the most modern technologies, the modern cellar has been integrated into the architecture of the ancient 1892 cellar to maintain the harmony of the landscape; the temperature-controlled steel tanks allow us to obtain the true aromas of the vine.

The first official trace of the family's winemaking tradition dates back to February 1, 1816, when Filippo, passing away, left the following properties to his children: “the beneficial ownership, that is the above-ground of two vineyard lands, one in Frascati, in the Roman countryside, in the district known as San Matteo, and the other in the territory of Grottaferrata in the district known as La Pedica.”. Thus begins a long tradition, which was severely tested in the 70s, as several hectares were expropriated from the family in view of the construction of the large university campus in the Tor Vergata area. But it is the passion that drives men to accomplish feats and achieve results. And it was the passion for tradition and quality that convinced Luigi and his family to restart a winery in the vineyard in Frascati in 2009, thus beginning a new but ancient story. The very ancient winemaking vocation of these lands, widely documented since the Etrusco-Roman age, and the desire to enhance this territory, drive the family to restart the ancient family business through the production of organic wines. The company now cultivates about 40 hectares in Frascati, a few km from Rome, in the foothill area called Pietra Porzia, so named because it is inhabited by the ancient “Gens Portia”, and where in 496 BC the famous battle of “Lago Regillo” between the Romans and the Latin League took place.

The structure consists of 15 rooms, 2 mini-apartments, a conference-meeting room, wi-fi, garden, and patio. You can experience a relaxing and pleasant experience among wood, barrels, and natural materials. The spaces are available to customers and guests for private events, ceremonies, and parties. Guided tours of the winery are also possible in a path between large barrels and barriques, to understand the techniques and secrets of wine aging and the vinification of Nero Buono. It starts from the vineyards surrounding the farmhouse, to descend into the recently built underground barrel and barrique cellar, where the top reds are refined according to Italian tradition techniques. Here, the oak barrels are hosted where the wine rests in complete silence for years. The venue offers a large glass room overlooking the vineyards, tastefully furnished with furniture designed by us and made by local artisans, and a veranda for outdoor dining in summer evenings. The kitchen is based exclusively on local products from meat, typical cold cuts and cheeses, to the vegetables from our garden, to fresh pasta and desserts prepared by our chefs. The restaurant is open on weekends to both guests of the Agriturismo and visitors. The structure and rooms have been created to welcome guests in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The furnishings of the rooms have been designed and made with wood and iron from the barrels. The artisans have expertly worked these materials to create unique objects of their kind.

At the foot of the Lepini Mountains, 56 km south of Rome, at about 400 meters above sea level, on an ancient territory, our winery flourishes and grows solid. The company currently covers about 52.5 hectares, of which 41 are planted with vineyards and 11.5 with olive groves. The winery focuses on some unknown grape varieties, which only this territory has preserved like a hidden treasure. White grape varieties that have always been cultivated are the Bellone, the Arciprete Bianco, and two varieties of Greco grapes, locally known as Moro and Giallo, almost disappearing in the area. Those with red berries are the Nero buono of Cori, the Montepulciano, and the Cesanese. Cared for by meticulous professionals, the vineyards with a south-southwest exposure develop in the locations of Capolemole, Pezze di Ninfa, and Valli San Pietro. The volcanic origin land particularly suited to the cultivation of vines and olive trees is rich in skeleton, in particular tuff and, in the highest part, the skeleton has a limestone component. The grapes are transformed through state-of-the-art equipment in the new winery. Currently in full expansion, it has substantial spaces for processing, storage, refinement, and maturation of the product, as well as for hosting guests and tastings.
