The owner, always passionate about wine and adopted Valpolicella, has turned her passion not only into a job, but a real lifestyle. She wants to bring into the world an excellent quality wine, capable of combining tradition and contemporaneity and of communicating through a simple, young, and new language. The wines originate in the historic viticultural area of ​​Valpolicella: the extraordinary rows of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella dominate, historic and precious grapes characterized by great adaptability and good vigour that give their best results in poor soils and alluvial in origin with clay-limestone composition, which give our wines the typical red color, intense and elegant, but also the typical hints of cherry and jam. The company was born from the desire to build a place that would express the essence of its label, combined with the magnificence of the Valpolicella territory, a small corner set in stone.

The organic approach starts the first experiments in a vineyard at the gates of the city of Verona and quickly extends to the entire estate. For years we have been operating with the organic method to maintain healthy soils and increase the organic content, improving fertility. Our guests, tasting our wines and visiting the winery and vineyards, enter a reality made up of serious and competent people, passionate about wine, dedicated to quality and beauty. Through sharing our style, we involve them in every step of our work, from the vineyard to the bottle. The vineyards are the most important resource on our estate, located at an altitude between 290 and 350 meters above sea level and with a south-southeasterly orientation. They are mainly cultivated with the ancient indigenous varieties of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara, all present in the "Valpolicella” blend. The unique composition of our soils, rich in skeleton, gives all the wines an unrepeatable character, characterized by natural fruity and spicy notes.

The winery was founded at the beginning of the 1900s and is located in the center of the Marano Valley in the charming Valpolicella Classica. In the hills around the ancient cellar, the vineyards are located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level, in a perfect area where the soil, consisting mainly of clay and limestone, is rich in minerals and particularly suitable for vine cultivation. Our entire production is certified as DOCG, DOC, and IGT, and includes the typical wines of the area. We cultivate the grapes with low yield Guyot systems to obtain quality grapes that we vinify in our cellar. Values and traditions like love for the land and passionate and constant care of the vineyards are our distinctive traits, as well as the desire for continuous evolution and improvement both in quality and technology.

Our company is traditionally family-run, where work is exclusively led by family members; for this reason, in the company, different family members handle different tasks, depending on the priorities of the period. Usually, each person tries to do the work they are most passionate about: Angelo takes care of the vineyards and the soil, following every stage of the vines, while in the cellar, his brother Luigi takes care of transferring the wine from one barrel to another, ensuring the quality of the wine in the different barrels and making sure that each type of wine can satisfy even the most demanding palates. Nicola, between the vineyard and the cellar, manages the bottling and labeling of each bottle, while Silvia handles the commercial and administrative aspects of the company. In short, each person has their own task, but during the most demanding phase of the year, the grape harvest, we all work together to bring the maximum experience, tradition, and technique into production for the Classic Wines of Valpolicella. During the harvest, the selected grape clusters are handpicked, placed in wooden crates, and left to dry in the fruit cellar for about 120 days depending on the vintage.

The fourth generation, composed of Giacomo, Paolo, and Marco, continues the family business with great passion and dedication, focusing on healthiness and environmental sustainability. All the vineyards of the cellar are cultivated according to an organic regime, and the new agritourism structure is entirely powered by energy obtained from photovoltaic plants. The Premium Organic Line conceived after the conversion of the entire company in 2015, represents the search for absolute oenological quality, based on the use of technology and not of chemistry. It is the result of an even more accurate selection, the grapes were harvested only in completely natural areas, free from adjoining plots. This is to completely eliminate the possibility of contamination by other companies producing through conventional methods.

The Cantina is a family-run wine reality located in Val di Mezzane in the province of Verona (Italy) among the Valpolicella and Soave vineyards. The company consists of 12 hectares of organic farming. For generations, the family produced wine for family use until the 2017 harvest, when we decided to start a new winemaking path. The grapes are hand-picked in 20kg crates and at perfect ripeness. For our wines, we only use the "flower must" through soft pressing of whole grapes. To date, we produce 12,000 bottles, including Soave Doc, Valpolicella and IGT, and a Rosé Sparkling wine. Our vineyards are cultivated through organic farming in the utmost respect for nature. The vines have an average age of fifty years, allowing us to create high-quality wines that can withstand time. The symbol of the cellar is a blackbird, a bird that lived and nested in our garden for many years, synonymous with purity and uniqueness, a characteristic we want to highlight in our wines.
