For over 100 years, a journey into the fascinating world of wine, passing down passion and technique from generation to generation. Our family is strongly connected to the territory of Gavi, and it is from the love for their land that our wines are born. For generations, we have been dedicated with passion and devotion to producing one of the most famous and acclaimed white wines in the world, Gavi DOCG, obtained exclusively from Cortese grapes from the vineyards of our ancient estate dating back to 1600. The passion for winemaking has been passed down for three generations in the family, starting in the early 1900s. Over the decades, the business has grown steadily until in 1966 the brothers purchased the current property to capitalize on their experience as winemakers and cellar masters. Upon arrival at the company, you will have the opportunity to learn about the ancient history of the estate and its surroundings and, through a cellar tour, you will be introduced to the winemaking techniques of the white and red wines produced. You can choose from different types of tastings, from the simplest to the most structured.

In the green heart of Barolo, 10 hectares include the plots surrounding the winery, on the border between Verduno and La Morra. It was a happy and far-sighted choice, which, thanks to the efforts of the enlightened winemaker, made it the first Italian producer of Verduno Pelaverga and one of the reference symbols of the rebirth of this area. The west-facing exposure, the cool climate, and the good altitude express in the wines a unique olfactory richness in intensity and persistence, characterized by good freshness. The excellent structure combines with extreme elegance. Every action in the vineyard is a gesture of respect for the extraordinary territory from which the excellence of the wines we produce originates: manual harvesting and cluster selection. Soft pressing and balanced macerations. Fermentations without any forcing, with selected indigenous yeasts from the area. And long waits for aging in barrels. The ultimate goal is to accompany the wine in its natural evolution, according to the millennia-old tradition of the Langhe, to enhance the most authentic expression of each vine variety.

We are a small winery in the Langhe, in one of the most beautiful and best preserved villages in the area. In our cellar, we take care of the production, aging, and sale of wine, and just a few steps away you can also find our farmhouse. We only use grapes from our vineyards located in the municipalities of Monforte d’Alba, Novello, La Morra, and Barbaresco. We have 8 hectares of vineyards dedicated to producing our labels. We produce wines from the Langhe tradition, such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and White Rossese. In addition to white and red wines, we also produce a still rosé based on Dolcetto. We also experiment with some fermentations and aging of different wines in amphora. A walk among the vineyards immersed in the Langhe is the best way to breathe the essence of this territory where wines appreciated worldwide originate from. A new winemaking life born in the homonymous region of northern Italy, Piedmont. Our estate is located at the point where three major regions meet: Monferrato, Langhe, and Roero. For four generations, we have been producing the main DOC and DOCG wines of our area, developing over the years a focused approach to environmental sustainability and starting from 2022 producing wines with the SQNPI certification. The welcome takes place in the two locations of the company: the cellar where we carry out visits, tastings, and breakfasts. The place where we tell our story and where you can see our work up close. Surrounded by our own vineyards, from here you can walk along our panoramic path that starts from the iconic pergola. The rooms are instead located adjacent to the first cellar, about 1 km towards the town center. Here the house of grandfather Tony, the founder of the estate, has been transformed to accommodate mini-accommodations: rooms with all the comforts to stay for 1 night or 2 weeks, with an attached kitchenette.

It is here in Monferrato that we wanted to start cultivating the vineyard, nowhere else. And we wanted to do it now, immediately turning this extraordinary land into fruition. Only native grapes and single-variety wines. We have decided to enhance the terroir of Lower Monferrato by returning to the essence of its classic wines: Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato, Grignolino, Cortese. Our Monferrato is a conscious choice of simplicity, native vines, and vinifications in full respect of the varietal characteristics, aiming for an authentic purity of aromas and sensory notes. In the cellar, we use a traditional style, complemented by the reasoned use of technology. Grapes are harvested at full ripeness, with long macerations, fermentations and aging in steel barrels, minimal use of wood in tonneaux of first and second passage. We seek finesse, the ability to amaze with ease of drinking, richness of fruit, and complexity of aromas.

Our estate preserves an unspoiled landscape of 76 hectares, including 58 hectares of Gavi vineyards, the great white of Piedmont, Monferrato Rosso and Albarossa, the fruit garden, the Italian garden, the water garden with lotus flowers at the lake. A charming ensemble reminiscent of the most famous French chateaux, also in the attention to detail for guided tours and hospitality in the farmhouse. We produce Gavi and indigenous red wines with extraordinary aromas, and our strategy can be summarized in three fundamental points: environmental sustainability, low-sulfite wines, natural scents of indigenous grape varieties untouched by those of the wood in the barrels but refined only in stainless steel. All vinification is in stainless steel at controlled temperature both for whites and reds in order to obtain the natural aromas of the grape variety at the highest level without wood aging. Micro-oxygenation in red wines and long refinement in stainless steel allow us to obtain soft and structured wines with intense natural aromas typical of indigenous grape varieties.

Our history spans more than a hundred years: a company, a family, and a territory inextricably linked for over a century. Just like in all the small farms in the area, grapes and wine represented a small part of the farm’s agricultural production: our ancestors at the time cultivated cereals, fruits, and, of course, vegetables, and also had “the animals,” as we say here. In those years, there were no DOC or DOCG, and wine was consumed almost as a food, a source of energy for the hard work in the fields. Today, I can say that the transition between the “old” and the “new” world is complete, at least here: it was in my hands that we completed the conversion, definitively ferrying it to single-crop viticulture, and concentrated all our energies on a single goal: producing high-quality wine. We have learned to embrace technological innovation, which helps us work better, but at the same time our roots have helped us to keep our feet firmly rooted in our past and tradition. Our roots run deep."
