The first phase of the viticulture project involved a mass selection of the oldest vineyards in the Aeolian archipelago. Malvasia, originating from the island of Crete, owes its name to the ancient port of Monemvasia in the Peloponnese, from where Hellenic wines set sail to cross the routes of the Mediterranean. The Black Corinth is an ancient grape variety from the lands of the Greek city of the same name. These two grape varieties were introduced during the Hellenic colonization period, finding the ideal conditions to express their qualities on the small volcanic islands. Thus, a method of vine training and cultivation focused on "excellence" was born, using advanced technologies and tools.
