The Estate, formerly a hunting fief, is immersed in the enchanting territory of Bolgheri. Here, the perfect combination of a Mediterranean microclimate and clay/limestone soils gives the ideal terroir for great wines. Along the suggestive Bolgheri Road, which runs through vineyards and olive trees, the winemaker has embarked on a new adventure, dedicating himself to the production of wines that make their mark. A story that began in 2003 and is made of passionate commitment that transforms, harvest after harvest, into fragrant, full-bodied, and elegant nectars. In the land that inspired the poet Giosuè Carducci, the care for nature, the wisdom of the gesture, the love for knowledge mark time and shape the landscape. The vineyards cover 19.5 hectares and are divided into three crus: the exposition of the rows and the characteristics of the natural environment allow for the best expressions of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc varieties. The vines are cultivated using high-density double spurred cordon, 9000/10000 vines per hectare, and managed according to the strict rules of sustainable viticulture. Harvesting is exclusively manual. After racking, the wine undergoes a long ageing process; a preselection is made based on the winemaker's years of experience and inspiration, along with the various qualities of vinified grapes. Subsequently, the final blending can be performed. It is after this act that the wine will undergo those favored and induced transformations of its container: 'THE WOOD'.
