Description

The first documented historical references of our castle date back to 1077. It has crossed the centuries and seen different owners succeed. In the fifteenth century, it was the domain of the Ricasoli family and a Florentine bulwark in the wars between Florence and Siena. In the eighteenth century, it was partially transformed into a manor villa, while the remaining village hosted about 70 people. From 1920 to 2018, the castle successively belonged to two families, and our project is to develop what has already been started, respecting the history and traditions of the place. The certified organic company covers 170 hectares, of which 17 are vineyards for the production of Chianti Classico, 10 hectares of olive groves, and the rest forests. The vineyards are spread over five different areas around the central nucleus of the castle at altitudes ranging from 300 to 500 meters above sea level. Furthermore, the farmhouse has 17 rooms, an on-site restaurant, garden, and a panoramic swimming pool.
