Description

The Winery originates from an ambitious idea: to bring the vineyard back to the morainic hills of our farm. Ancient prints and cadastral maps bear witness to a tradition that recognizes the viticultural vocation of this rocky and water-poor land. The production philosophy is based on a fundamental principle: wine making starts in the vineyard, responding without fixed schemes to the climatic events of the vintage with the attention and wisdom of our peasant tradition. Hand harvesting of grape bunches, from August to November, and fermentation by gravity represent the two pillars of our production method. We took our first steps in 2000 looking at the characteristics and microclimate of the morainic hills, south of Lake Garda: from there we started selecting the seedlings, deciding the number of plants per hectare and the vine training system. Trebbiano di Lugana or Turbiana, Sauvignon, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Incrocio Manzoni are the grape varieties of our white wines. Rebo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon represent the types of our red grapes.
